An image of a laughing dormouse perched on a flower was captured by a photographer

Common names for rodent species in the Gliridae Family, also known as Myoxidae, include “The Dormouse”. The species is characterized by its squirrel-like appearance, large eyes, and blunt and curving claws. Dormice have bushy and short tails and long, bushy tails. A dormouse is well-known for its ability to hibernate, as they can do so all year round.

In addition to trees and bushes, they can live in rock walls, nests of plant material, and other places that attract them. Birds and fruit are often an essential source of nutrition for them. They usually sleep for long periods, especially during the winter. There are several species of edible mice. The tail is 8cm long and grey in color.

‘The laughing squirrel’ was selected as the land category winner of the Comedy Wildlife Awards. Andrea Zampatti captures the dormouse’s subtle nature to its fullest in this image.

The talented photographer, Zampatti, captured her shots using the ethereal atmosphere that surrounds wildlife.

Below are a few of the photographer’s images.
